ABOUT ME
Hello! Im Jerome Horn and I am a BA honours Media Production graduate (2013-2016) of the University of Derby.
Throughout my university experience I have learnt a substantial amount of information that can be applied to a number of different areas with the media world!

Printed Production
Print Production was a subject that I excelled in through my second and third year of University; as it was a large part of my university experience as it became a subject I thoroughly enjoyed. Creating a magazine from scratch or reimagining a current form of printed media was something I enjoyed as I could envision a project to make my own.
Having this freedom strengthened my enthusiasm for printed media and is how I became so enthusiastic about how a lot of media such as logos, websites and print media is created.

Digital Production
Digital Production became a very interesting topic of study for my as I came to admire the design, development and manufacturing that went into the production of websites that we take for granted as I was tasked with creating a TV dashboard that could be easily navigated and had access to other media outlets such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, ETC.

Radio Production
Radio Production tasked me with a very practical set of projects to complete through my three years of education as we were tasked with creating a group project within my first year and a solo project in my second year, all the planning needed had to be exceptionally detailed. With every project we were tasked with planning, recording and editing. Listen to an example of one of my first year projects.

TV Production
Alike Radio Production, TV Production has a highly planned project that took a lot of effort to complete. In my first year I was tasked, as a group project, to create a music video. As a group we had to find and book a local band and record one of their songs to edit into the final video you see on the right.
Within my second year I was tasked again as a group to plan, record and edit a documentary of our choosing. Which again had to be a highly planned project which included a continuous change of story boards to ensure the project was accomplished to guarantee a high grade.
